Technologies for the Construction of the Future
At LENIUM we are developing our first research area, dedicated to green materials and low-emission concrete technologies, designed to transform the way cities produce, regenerate and sustain their infrastructure. The line brings together advanced machinery built to optimise industrial processes, improve energy efficiency and guarantee full traceability of materials from their origin, alongside low-clinker cement formulations and circularity methodologies capable of drastically reducing the sector's environmental footprint.
Our strategic collaboration with Iowa State University provides scientific validation in cementitious materials, structural behaviour and life-cycle analysis, strengthening the Lenium ecosystem's ability to study low-emission precast elements, optimise their performance and assess their resilience in real urban environments. This industrial model connects modular production, construction waste recycling and CO₂ capture and mineralisation technologies, enabling materials that make affordable housing, resilient infrastructure and new sustainable urban typologies possible. With this research area, Lenium turns green industry into an engine capable of anticipating the future and building regenerative cities based on efficiency, circularity and emissions reduction.
